Funniest TV Adverts Ever

Posted by: amusementonline
Image By: maryfrancesmainA good advert can stay with a brand forever, and if sense of humour is spot-on, and rises above the tedium and consumerism which sadly inundates our television screens, then it is a joy to behold. Nothing quite captures an audience's imagination like a good belly chuckle and here are just a few of the best adverts, old and new, which linger in the mind.
Old Spice – This highly original advert went viral and with it came a new age of men riding white horses. Model Isaiah Mustafa shot to fame in February 2010 as he spearheaded The Man Your Man Could Smell Like campaign. The ad featured him holding a clam up to the ladies beyond the screen, with “two tickets to that thing you love” inside, and then suddenly the clam transforms into a stream of cascading diamonds. That's just what women need, more diamonds!
John West – Man Vs Bear, who will come on top in a battle of wits and endurance. This advert John West advert shows a worker challenging a wild brown bear for his juicy salmon, freshly caught from the banks of a river. A fight breaks out, which sees the bear do an Ali-shuffle, Image By: Brett Jordafollowed by a strong right hook. But the John West operative is smarter than that, and distracts the bear pointing to the sky momentarily, the bear looks up and gets a strong kick to the groin for his troubles. Priceless.
Heineken – In this “Serving The Planet” advert, a group of stylish Dutch women are taken on a tour of the house by their host during a party. The home is beautiful, and full of young pretty things, but then comes the pièce de résistance, a huge wardrobe full of clothes and shoes. At this point, the women go berserk. Meanwhile, there is a commotion in another room in the house, as the men have been taken on a similar tour by the man of the house, but their place of worship is a fridge stocked full of beers. The pandemonium that ensues is hilarious as the men turn into excited little boys in a cold room of alcoholic delights.

BizarreLast Words

Posted by: amusementonline
Just like in the movies, anyone who is to be executed is given a chance to say their last farewells. People always expect them to ask for forgiveness from their victims, or ask God to forgive them, but not all do so. Here are some utterly bizarre weird last words:
“I said I was going to tell a joke. Death has set me free. That's the biggest joke. I deserve this”. This was said by Patrick Bryan Knight a convicted murderer in 2007. After saying that he added, “Another joke is that I am not Patrick and y'all can't stop this execution now. Go ahead. I am finished.” He was executed by lethal injection.
Image By: Vectorportal• “Hey fellas! How about this for a headline for tomorrow's paper? ‘French Fries'”. These were the last words of convicted murderer James French in Ohio in 1966. He said this with a smiling face. You wonder if he really knew what was happening.
• “More weight” these were the last words of Giles Corey an accused witch. He was executed with stones which were piled on top of him until he died.
• “See you all on the other side, warden, murder me,” said by James Lewis Jackson. He was convicted for murder of his wife and his step daughters. He was executed by lethal injection.
• “I'd just like to say I'm sailing with the rock, and I will be back like Independence Day, with Jesus June 6. Like the movie, bug mother ship and all, I'll be back”. These where Aileen Carool Wuornos' last words. She was executed by lethal injection in 2002. She was found guilty of murdering 6 men in Florida.
• “Hurrah for anarchy! This is the happiest moment of my life.” George Engel a union activist said this on the day he was hanged. He was convicted for playing a role in the labor riots that saw the death of dozens of policemen.

Laws are essential for the making of a strong society. However, there are some regulations in the world that will make you gasp. Most people are unaware of the following rules:Image By: blmurch
1. Chewing gum is banned in Singapore. The government of Singapore introduced this regulation due to the difficulty faced by the workers in getting rid of gum from public places. When the chewing gum gets stuck in the doors of Mass Rapid Transit train, it stops it from moving. This happened a lot of times, resulting in the introduction of this weird law.
2. In Massachusetts, it is a criminal offence for mourners to eat more than three sandwiches.
3. This rule is not followed, but eating mince pies on Christmas is against the rules in Britain.
4. In Denmark, it is obligatory for drivers to drive with their headlights on. This rule applies during the daytime too. According to a study, this rule has helped in decreasing road accidents.

Strange Instructions

Posted by: amusementonline
We all like to be given instructions on new things that we encounter. However, there are situations when these instructions become patronising and more than ridiculous. There are a number of products in the market that come with some weird directions. Here are some of our favourites:
• The hairdryer is one of the most commonly used household items. Almost everyone knows when and how to use one. For this reason, the “Do not use while sleeping” instruction which you can find on hairdryers doesn't make any sense.Image By: lovelihood
• Fritos are all the rage among school children. In the past, Fritos have come up with a number of contests and schemes. Though the amount of money that comes out of the pack is small, it is still exciting for the children who win. However, according to the packet, “you can be the winner of the prize without purchasing the product and the details are inside the pack.”
• Most directions on soap packet covers say something such as “Use like regular soap." What if you have never used regular soap?
• One of the funniest suggestions on most frozen dinners is “Defrost."
• Believe it or not, a Rowenta iron packing stated, “do not iron clothes on the body.”
• You are most likely to laugh your head off when reading an interesting warning on a pack of Sainsbury's peanuts. It states, “Warning: Contains nuts."
• You won't believe your eyes when you read “open packet, eat nuts” on an American Airlines pack of nuts.

Seven-Star Pet Resort

Posted by: amusementonline
Urban Tails Dubai is the first seven-star resort for animals. This place has been inaugurated this summer and is regarded as Burj-al-Arab for dogs and cats. According to the owner, this resort has been a big hit.
Aideen O'Mara, an Irish citizen who moved to UAE in 2004, created the hotel. Before opening this luxury resort for pets, she worked at an international school. Pets are not allowed in public places in Dubai, so she decided to provide them with an environment where they can socialise.
The dogs and cats are no longer required to be confided in the house for months on end. This amazing resort offers them an opportunity to socialise and relax and provides suites to more than seventy dogs and forty cats. This means you no longer have to worry about your pet after leaving your house.

The seven-star Urban Tails resort takes good care of the pets once the owners are away. Webcams are specially installed all over the resort and owners can have full access to the footage. You can log in to any of the web cameras to have a look at your beloved pet.
All the suites offered at this resort have facilities like plasma televisions and air-conditioning. The play areas are designed in such a way that unwanted noises are reduced. These soothing playing areas are important in minimising the stress experienced by pets.
The owner of this seven-star pet resort claims that most of the pets are in love with this place. Imagine the luxuries your pet is going to enjoy at this incredible hotel. If you are looking for a reliable service that can take care of your cat or dog, Urban Tails Dubai has all that you need.

A Haven for Furry Friends

Posted by: amusementonline
Dogs have long been considered as man's best friend. They give a lot of people happiness and for some, even companionship. Millions of dogs have found loving homes among people and they have enjoyed the love and care that their owners give them. The owners, in turn, enjoy taking care of such creatures. It is not surprising at all that some people may want to go the extra mile and pamper their doggies.
In Dubai, a world-class seven-star hotel has been put up, not for humans, but for the comfort of the fine furry friends of humans. The animal hotel, called the Urban Tails Pet Resort, was put up by an Irish ex-patriot named Aideen O'Mara, who happens to be an animal lover herself. She put up this resort as an equivalent of Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel, but this time for pets.
This place truly is a haven for pets as the rooms are fully air-conditioned and owners do not have to worry about their pets at all. There is an on-site gym where the animals could get exercise and classical music is played in the communal areas to make sure that the pets relax. There are web cameras installed virtually everywhere, so owners could simply log-in and check their pets, no matter where they are in the world.
Image By: IdhrenApparently, in Dubai, dogs are prohibited from going to parks and public beaches, and thus, have to stay inside the houses also because of the heat. O'Mara believes that with her resort, cats and dogs alike could get pampered while their European owners go back to their native homelands during the hottest time of the year in Dubai. The resort could currently cater to 70 dogs and 40 cats, with personnel who are trained to take care of the animals while the owners are away. For those who wish to fully pamper their pets, they could even avail of a personal butler for their pets and a pick-up and delivery in the pet limousine.
Owners could treat their pets at this beautiful pet resort to show them how much they value them. The companionship and love that the pets bring cannot be bought and every moment with them is simply precious.

Real but Strange News

Posted by: amusementonline
• Ever heard of a mommy's boy? Or watched the Matthew McConaughey film titled “Failure to Launch”? Then this news might sound familiar. Italian men are known for staying in their family homes until they are married or quite a bit older, but it appears that this September a certain household had had enough of their 41 year old son mooching off of them. So they threatened him with a lawsuit if he didn't leave the house by a certain deadline. Hopefully that big boy moved out.
• Imagine holding on to guilt for seventeen years? Well, some thieves who stole a caravan full of a couple's belongings in North Ireland 17 years ago finally came clean by anonymously returning to the grateful couple their wedding album. The caravan? They kept it.
• Are you ladies looking for a well-adjusted man with a mature personality, who is confident and responsible? According to studies, Swedish men who donate their sperm fit this bill. Sweden doesn't pay sperm donors as it's purely voluntary and children conceived because of their donation can contact them if they so choose.
• Guys, when you're trying to get a girl, do you get her gifts, go to expensive restaurants, and go out of your way to do so? In a recent news article it states that some male nursery spiders will “pay” and give worthless gifts to “get some”. Parts of flower, cotton or ant husks wrapped in silk are used to distract the lady spiders while the males have their way. If these gifts don't work … they act dead. Bet that's not a “pick up line” you'll be using.
• Back to those Italians; we've heard they are romantic, but this romantic story takes the cake. A 38 year old man jumped into an empty ambulance and drove all the way to his girlfriend's house, switched on the siren and started singing romantic songs to her. Her neighbours, called the police who arrested him. When asked why he did it, he replied “I don't play any instruments and I wanted to serenade my love”. Sweet, but maybe not the best idea.
